Paul G. posts on 5/4/2008 1:00:13 PM Mark, You know who this is. I just fund this message site. Still waiting for a response to my lawsst email. We expect to either receive $20,000 or the return of tanzanites of the same value. You have tried to duck any responsibility for this mess for three years now. It's time you stepped up.
Kathleen Hewitt posts on 4/22/2008 2:42:29 PM Dear Mark, I have just finished reading your book "Dangerous Beauty", and have to tell you I could hardly put it down until it was finished. I have now started reading it again. WOW what a story. I was transported from Canada to Africa and was part of your safari's, including the March 1,1999 one. My heart went out to you and your friends as you were force marched to the Congo border, some without shoes on their feet. The diabolical murders of Rob and Susan on that day, as well as being tragic, must have been absolutely horrific for you to witness, more especially as they were yours friends and clients. You obviously care very much for your clients and their safety, this shows many times thoughout your book. I and my husband have been to Africa namely Zambia, Botswana and Zimbabwe and we were flown between the out lying camps by small plane just as you do on your safari's. I have definitely been bitten by the Africa bug. Why is it when we land in Africa it feels like home? Maybe its some very deep genetic marker in our genes, who knows! Our next visit to Africa will be to Kenya and Tanzania at the same time. I want so much to see the great migration especially at the Grumeti river. I would also like to visit the Ngorongoro crater and then Samburu and the Lewa Downs. Last time we were in Africa we watched a pride of nineteen lions eating an eight or nine year old elephant we didn't see the kill though. The pride was unusually large and frequently went after elephant. I have heard that the pride has since split up into two or three smaller prides when the original male was challenged and lost his leadership. It is very difficult choosing a Safari Company because so many do the same old thing, and when they come upon a kill there are often more vehicles than animals on the ground. That is not for us! At the elephant kill in Botswana there was our vehicle and one more and we were there first so had the best spot. Lastly, Mark if you are still leading Safari's I and my husband would very much like to be included on one. Would you please be so kind as to contact me at the email address that I have given. Very best regards, Kathleen, Airdrie, Alberta, Canada.
