Marlo Morgan Message Board

lou posts on 12/28/2008 12:28:45 PM Have people become so blinded that they have given up being willing to learn? The way the world is going today, well, where does anyone think it will get us? Separation and isolation seem to be the order of the day, and self seems to be all-important. Can anyone deny that we are all in the same boat? This is our planet, where we happen to be, but it does not belong to us. What kind of stewards are we, or have we been, or will we be? Time to take stock and see the big picture, which I feel the Aboriginal people of Australia have always known. Three cheers for Marlo Morgan's book - 'Mutant message down under'.
earl posts on 12/28/2008 4:26:50 AM I have just finished reading this book! I find that it is an amazing book and that the messages in the book resonate inside me as true! The messages I believe are true jusat as I believe a lot of the same messages in the bible are true and many would claim both fiction or both truth. the message is the thing. Coming from a confused mixed heritage of native american and settler I have just started opening up to the timeless teaching of my people. Both scarey and hard to accpet and deal with at time but I feel hold truth. A lot of what was represented in the book aslo reflect the teaching tha tI have just started to learn. I am VERY greatful that this person has had the couorage to write this book. Fiction or not!
Constance posts on 8/22/2008 11:47:57 PM Funny how people believe everything written on the internet to be true????? Why is there so many people interested in proving this book wrong? Fear perhaps? The message is what is important. You feel it in your soul to be true when reading it. Everyone is at a different stage of awareness. Thank you Marlo Morgan for informing us of this very important message

Elisabeth posts on 8/21/2008 7:03:02 PM i too read morgan's books years ago. i liked them and recommended them. recently i discovered the controversy surrounding the authenticity of the book. i too, feel betrayed. however, i have to take some responsibility for seeing what i wanted to see in her "message" and not using a more critical eye. i know nothing of aboriginal people either but it seemed that the message was more important than the details of the rituals, language or location. im still going to categorize the experience of reading this book as having been a good one, it was thought provoking. the underlying message was inspirational and worthy. the ten "commandments" of the tribe are not a bad way to live at all, do you think? so instead of wasting time being angry, don't buy her books anymore and if you know any aboriginals, encourage them to write about their culture instead of talking about marlo morgan's fantasy one.
Damla posts on 8/12/2008 2:35:31 AM It was 3 years ago and I was 17 when I read Mutant Message Down Under by Marlo Morgan, and it completely changed my life, my insight towards the whole world and the people. I could grow up as everyone else, as ordinary, but this book opened way in front of me leading me to a perfectly different world. I wish everyone could be here with me, in this perfectly different world of goodness. Living in harmony with the Earth, accepting people as they are and not trying to change them, believe in we are all born for a purpose..these are only a few things i recognised to be the main points of living after I read the book. I wish everyone GOOD and wish you all a fresh start to harmony!
Betty posts on 8/9/2008 2:53:09 PM The message from this book must be heard by all of us. We are not paying atention to our Earth's petitions.. It is not important if the "outback" was true or not (which I believe it was) but it has nothing to do with the great message that it contains.
Rowena posts on 7/31/2008 1:55:45 AM I am an Australian as well and was recommended this book many years ago by some Canadian friends. Having spent my teenage years in Australia's northwest I was convinced that this book was a complete fabrication and extremely disrespectful of our indiginous people. If you are able see a message in this fairytale good luck to you - but at who's expense!
Phil Weber posts on 7/30/2008 12:45:38 AM I have read both Mutant Message Down Under and Mutant Message Forever. True or not - look at the message! These two books make more sense than the Bible, the Koran, and all the religions that exist.
Grace Reger posts on 7/24/2008 2:25:28 PM I have met Ms.Morgan and I believe her message is very important. There is a time when a person is ready to truely hear. We are all on a journey and the message is only one that can help us all. Grace
Danielle posts on 7/14/2008 9:24:08 PM Whether or not this book is true or fake it is a MESSAGE. She is not harming anyone by spreading a message about a race of humans that has been devastated by today's rape of anything for personal gain. So it cannot be "authenticated" I do not believe she was trying to "teach" any of you ANYTHING. She states, "My suggestion to you is that you taste the message, savor what is right for you, and spit out the rest, after all that is the law of the universe." How much time have you wasted feeling like a victim of a false account of a book YOU CHOSE to read? Who is she harming by telling this story? Does she not tell you to take what you want from it? And if you are standing up for Aborigines what would they tell you to do about this injustice you are suffering from as you debunk Marlo Morgan's story? Bless her and move on? I think so. There are far more important issues on this planet to put our energy toward. I CHERISHED this book. For as many so-called lies you can find in it, there are truths that every human being should be working towards revealing in their lives. "Instead of living the truth, Mutants allow circumstances and conditions to bury universal law under a mixture of convenience, materialism, and insecurity." That is exactly what every person who attempts to debunk another person is doing. Look in your hearts and find why you must make this message an untruth to you. What is your ego trying to hide from you? It is what it is, if it is false we will all know some day... The truth does not need any defending. If your words are truth, have faith in truth. You do not need to take faith away from Morgan.
