Hi....I am in sixth grade, and and just discovering your books...they are amazing! The first book I read was Stepping on the Cracks...it was really good. From then until now I have gotten my hands on all of your books my library has. I am very sad because a person took "Wait till Helen Comes" out of the library, and it is lost. I want to read it so much!-Kate

Hello...this may seem to be a strange message...but I was photographed and sketched on the original cover of "The Jellyfish Season" in 1985. I do not have my copy of the book anymore...and I was wondering if I could somehow purchase a copy through you (or, if you could let me know where I can obtain a copy of the old version.) Thank you!

Hi Beth,
My 12-year-old daughter is an avid fan of your mom's books. I took a cute photo of my daughter reading Following the Mystery Man and scrapbooked the photo. I would love to send a copy for your mom. Is there somewhere I can email it to?
Thanks,
Sharon

The mice are great. And the friendship.
It's so fun to read notes from Mom's fans. I'm seding this link to her.
Best,
Beth

I love your civil war novel Hear the wind Blow! I've had it for only a week and am almost finished with it. I think that they should make it into a movie even though I love the book! Your a great author and I love your books!!

I love this book. First, I love the friendship between Jessica and Daphne. What I recall most vividly are the two of them acting out the story with the mice. I think that would be a fun way to write a story together. Another thing I remember is them imagining what their lives would be like when they grow up, how they will live together and write and illustrate books.

Dear Mary Downing Hahn fans: This is Beth, Mary Downing Hahn's daughter. This semester, I am teaching a course in Children's Literature; of course, we must read one of my mother's books. I have chosen Daphne's Book. What do you recall most vividly about the book? What did you like the most about it?
I will bring your responses into class.
Thanks much in advance and best,
Beth

I want to let you know that I'm a college student and still reading your books! You're definitely one of my favorite authors. I'm actually preparing a presentation about you for my final.
