davidsw11 posts a message on 7/20/2007 3:08:27 PM Hi. I have a pair of HMV Buena Vista 33rpm 12" original sountrack demonstration records. These two records are 'printed' on one side only with side 1 on one disc and side 2 on the other. Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke special advance pressing. Anyone interested in buying them?
ilovedickvandyke posts a message on 11/28/2006 8:57:37 PM Does anyone else think that Mary and Bert have feelings for eachother? I've thought so since I first saw the movie. They would look so cute together!
Nicky posts a message on 11/8/2006 12:05:05 PM To the woman who was expecting a baby in March - Is everything going OK with the pregnancy? I guess you're not ready to give birth just yet.... Have you managed to decorate in a Mary Poppins style?
Nicky posts a message on 11/8/2006 12:03:32 PM Did Mary's parrott have a name? I don't remember it ever being mentioned. I'll have a look in the books to see if it's mentioned in there, but I don't remember it being in there either ;) What do you think he looks like? I think George is a great name ;)
tricia posts a message on 11/8/2006 9:40:43 AM Does anyone know the name of Mary Poppins's Parrot? Does he have a name? Is it George? Please advise! Thanks!!
posts a message on 10/3/2006 11:18:44 AM I recently found out that I am expecting, and have decided to decorate our baby's room (if it is a girl) in a Mary Poppins theme. Any suggestions as to how to do this? Thanks!
posts a message on 7/3/2006 5:03:32 AM I have to join in the praise for this incredible film. I've loved Mary Poppins since I first saw it in theaters as a boy in it's re-release in 1973 and I'm as obsessed with it as ever. It's one of the most effecting, beautiful films of all time. It's filled to the brim with masterful artistry and inspired performances. Julie Andrews is perfect at the center of this grand epic fantasy. The pacing, the music, the choreography, the costumes, and the sentiment all work perfectly to bring an awesome movie experience. If you haven't got the new 40th Anniversary DVD set, be sure to do so. It's great. The film has been restored and the sound enhanced with the new Disney Home Theatre Mix. The extras are good and the new documentary is excellent.
