posts on 9/28/2006 11:13:16 PM "I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings" is a great book for our young African Americans to read. To me, this book was about of course Maya Angelou's life. How she and her brother was abandoned by their parents at such a young age and she goes through so much, from poor to rich, from a town with racial prejudice to a state where skin doesn't matter. I would recommend this book to anyone. It is truly the best book ever!

ANTHEA posts on 1/31/2005 1:51:46 PM I'M a woman, sister, mom ex-wife and every other hats that women have to wear these days. I have loved "the lady" Miss Maya Angelou the moment I heard her voice, then heard her read a poem and as a woman my body just shivered. Miss Angelou please continue to move spirits as much long as you are on this earth.I LOVE YOU.
