A 12 year old shouldn't have trouble continuing on with the series, if he read and liked the first book. I was reading Edgar Rice Burroughs at that age, so this is very light reading compared to that style of writing.. hehe
I think it's lighter than the latest Harry Potter book, too.. That's one series that's got darker as it went along.

I found out recently the third book of the Obsidian trilogy is called The Fall of Darkness, but no luck on when the release date is

valandra not really cause he might want to read more and more of books like that so it might noy be a terrific idea but hey he probably seeen worse on tv. He probably knows more about that stuff then a 30 year old would. but its your choice

I read the books and see nothing wrong with a 12 year old reading them. They would be something I would feel comfortable with my 10 and 14 yr old reading.

that would be cool if they make another a second trilogy to the book it will be like kellens kids or jermayans

that is for me a logical opinion and i don't mind it very much if he doesn't get a dragon i think his skills are enough to get some graet chaptors

i dont think kellen will get the dragon, but that is my opinon. i think that he will find some way to ride jermayan's dragon instead, or fight afoot.
