Mike Lunnon-Wood Message Board

Trevoe Long posts on 1/23/2011 11:49:08 PM Mike mentioned that he had completed a book using the title Broken Square but could not get it published. It would be great for all Mike's fans if the book is published and a tribute to his writing skills!
kevinp posts on 12/25/2010 1:59:43 PM This is really tragic; such a wonderful talent. My heartfelt condolences to the family. His books Heraklion Blue, The Long Reach, and the King's Shilling are all amongst the finest written in the military fiction genre. I would love to see Rhodesia finished, or even get the chance to read the unfinished work
chris posts on 10/11/2010 5:21:49 PM I see that both Angels Seven and Heraklion Blue are available on Amazon. I would like to receive the first 17 chapters of Rhodesia if that is possible. Chris

Piers Lunnon-Wood posts on 9/30/2010 12:01:32 PM Mike Died of cancer in March 2008.I am his son mentioned in the beginnings of several of his books. Rhodesia went unfinished and unpublished, but my goodness the stuff I have here on file is wonderful. I will seek to at some point, either finish it with his notes and a collaboration, or if you want, email you the first 17 chapters. His literary legacy would mean a lot to him. So thank you.
Victoria Lunnon posts on 4/26/2010 2:49:03 PM Mike Lunnon-Wood did pass away, aged 52 I believe he was. Thank you
Allen Burton posts on 3/27/2009 9:59:26 AM I finally got hold of Heraklion Blue after looking on Amazon, Ebay etc for years. They had it in the local library about 3 miles from where I work! Best of all, because no one had borrowed it for about 2 years before me they said I could buy it for...25p. Result! As it doesn't look like this book will ever get reprinted in hardback, and it's never been published in paperback, I could scan it and email if anyone wants? It's a great story - kind of like a British version of the Bruce Willis movie 'Tears of the Sun' but a lot better.
Anonymous posts on 5/13/2008 4:44:47 PM Sadly Mike passed away earlier this year after a six month fight with cancer. He was a generous man and a great friend and will be much missed. He never got to finish his rhodesia book.
Leonie Short posts on 4/30/2008 6:41:17 PM Please could somebody confirm or deny the alleged demise of Mike Lunnon-Wood and/or details??? This is too sensitive a matter to request details from Mark, Anthony or Piers. Please, please can someone fill me in on facts. E-mail
Nick Brett posts on 4/27/2008 4:04:28 PM I hope this is a pathetic hoax and Mike is still with us. Mike - speak up - tell us you are still here!
