Blair posts on 8/18/2005 1:53:11 PM Terrific book...historic and interestingly tragic. The truth is shocking to read and difficult to fathom. It was well-written and intriguing. The researched elements and references to related cases in history made it easier to comprehend the developments of the tragedy these men endured. Definately a book for older readers whose interest in the story has already been piqued. I would not suggest it for high school summer reading...maybe for college-bound seniors. But even that might fall upon resistent sets of eyes. Today's youth can relate to very little in this book (unless they are from Nantucket, Cape Cod, etc). Teens tend to enjoy reading books that they can loosely relate to in some way. This book provides very little of that.
Shaniqua posts on 1/31/2005 1:53:59 PM I hate this book and I HATE summer reading. This book was a boring story that was a complete waste of my time. I hated every minute of it. So dreadful! I would rather burn it. Hahaha.
