Paullina Simons Message Board

Bassania posts on 3/12/2009 8:04:37 PM I have recently reread the bronze horseman trilogy again for like the thousandth time. i simply can't get enough of these books, having read them when i was 13, perhaps not the best age to, but i abosolutley ADORE them:)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Krista posts on 12/27/2008 1:08:02 PM I just finished reading the Bronze Horseman trilogy. It has ti be the best love story ever written. I would love for them to make a movie, but I think it should be a mini-series tv show- like Lonesome Dove. Scarlet Johannsen is way to mature to play the part. Mandy Moore would be perfect for Dasha.
Sylv posts on 9/19/2008 3:09:26 AM Just wanted to share that Paullina now has her very own blog. I don't think I am allowed to put a link but if you go to her website you can go to the blog from there. Paullina is giving readers the opporunity to win a signed copy of her next novel if they are able to help her with some info regarding Jindabyne Australia. Check it out!!

My posts on 7/22/2008 10:50:57 AM I recently finished the trilogy of Tatiana and Alexander. The Bronze Horseman has to be my favourite of the three hands-down. Simons has a true gift of captivating her readers. The way she described their love was enthralling. I must admit, i was and still am completely besotted with Alexander. It's truly amazing how Simon's is able to get her readers to fall head-over-heels for the protagonist. LOL my sisters and I have also had the same discussion of who we think would be the perfect person to play Alexander when the movie is made (hopefully in the near future!!), and we too were met with differing opinions =) I'm thinking a Chris Klein type in We were soldiers.
lozzer posts on 6/24/2008 10:07:11 AM I read the Bronze Horseman trilogy years ago & fell in love with them. Ive recently read them again & Alexander is in my head. Paullina is an amazing storeyteller. To create a fictionary character that another person can fall in love with is truly a gift. but paullina must have had an image in her head of this character & i would love to see how she pictured him. Today I was asked on a chatroom what my favourite book was & yes I answered the Bronze Horseman. On a whim I decided to look the book up & was excited to see that paullina is writing a screenplay. The film would be years down the line but it has given me a fresh interest. My close friend is also a fan of this book & we discussed our image of alexander. Hers was totally different from mine. My image was based on the lead guy in Prison break. he had the shaved hair look, the soldier statesque & the moodiness. Hers was a lean , longfaced Russian type male. But I think we both agreed on a Scarlett Johannsen type leading lady!!!
Gayle posts on 3/28/2008 8:17:52 PM My favorite scene in all of the books I've read by Paullina Simons (and I believe I have read them all) was in "Tully" when Tully (married to another man) kissed Jack on the leg. He said, "Did you just kiss my leg, Tully?" And the story gets even more interesting from there. I loved this book. Tully's story was such a touching one. When I finished this book, I read every other book I could find by Paullina Simons. She is a wonderful writer.
Marilyn K. Miles posts on 3/19/2008 9:21:42 AM The Bronze Horseman trilogy would make a fabulous movie - Let me know when it comes out!!!!!!
Rowena posts on 12/2/2007 4:52:11 PM The Bronze Horseman would have to be one of the most touching and absorbing books I've read. You feel that you are walking the through the streets with Tatiana. I'm now well into The Bridge at Holy Cross also just as entralling. Paulina Simmons however is a writer of many talents as she takes us through thrillers as well - my first was Red Leaves which stayed with me for ages. Also the Girl in Times Square. Have just decided that I will read all her books and I've never done that before. Did someone say she is coming to Australia to write her next book or has she already done that?
Sheri Meyer posts on 10/19/2007 1:07:11 PM Hi Joy!!!!! Yay it's you. I can't believe it. I drop in here from time to time to see if anyone from the old days pops in. Here you are. This is wonderful. I got the cook book too. I love it. Actually Megan who was with Folio Books is still getting me Paullina's books because they don't come out as quickly in the US.
