Princess Mononoke (Mononoke Hime) Message Board

Adam posts on 3/25/2005 9:01:52 PM If this story is supposed to have an environmentalist message, then doesn't Ashitaka's decision at the end of the film to help Lady Eboshi rebuild Irontown defeat the entire point of the film? By the way, I did a bit of research and there really were a people called the emishi, but not much is known about them, but their culture and style of dress is pretty accurately portrayed in the film. {PS} Please respond to this message. I should like to start up a brief conversation about Hayao Miyazaki, Princess Mononoke in particular.

Princess mononoke is not only the best anumated ovies you can ever see, its is clearly one of the best films you can see and is easily one of the top 100 movies to see. This movies has moved me to tears many times, being from the pacific north west, its refreshing to see someone understand and love nature in the ways i do. Mr Miyazaki's stories have much to teach us all. See it!
