Robert Ludlum Message Board

Michael posts on 7/11/2007 5:36:22 AM I'm reading the Bourne Ultimatum before I see the movie next month, but the book has me confused about the first two movies. Characters killed off in the movies are main characters in the book! Did the first two books not have the characters killed?? I guess I need to read the first two books to get the real stories. Info please!
Lynne posts on 7/9/2007 11:17:54 AM The movies are not really like the books but are enjoyable in their own right. The books are so much more involved and are amongst the best I have ever read. Eric Van Lustbader has written 2 sequels to the the Bourne series..The Bourne Legacy and his new one The Bourne betrayal. Both are good stories and it was enjoyable to read about a character I really liked but unfortunately he doesn't come anywhere near Ludlum as a writer. I have read all of Ludlum's books 2 and some of them 3 times.
Rob S. posts on 7/9/2007 12:03:26 AM After watching the first two Bourne Movies, I read the Bourne Ultimatum. I just saw the trailer for the movie and it doesn't look like the book. Were the first two books different from the movies?

Holyn posts on 5/6/2007 7:06:14 PM hey im doing this book for a school book rview but didn't get to read the whole thing anything especially important that i should mention?
Jason B. posts on 12/21/2006 12:25:48 PM I loved The Ambler Warning. It wasn't as good as The Bourne Identity or The Janson Directive, but you can't go wrong, a very good read.
Ric Stevens posts on 11/20/2006 3:02:55 PM I've read some reviews of The Ambler Warning and most say that it is not too good. They say that it is nothing like Ludlum and that it is actually very lacking in entertainment value. What do people on this board think?
posts on 4/12/2006 10:15:49 AM I was wondering, did anyone see the first part of the tv series movie on CBS on April 9th? If so, can you give me a synopsis of what happened, because I recorded it, but CBS must've of switched the air time since a huge chunk of the movie was cut off. I'm going to be lost for the second part next week!
Walid Khalid posts on 2/8/2006 10:00:20 PM I have only read the books in the Bourne series, and they are about this guy who loses his memory and goes on a journey to find out who he really is. I do not know about the rest of the books.
Valentina posts on 2/8/2006 4:12:17 PM Hey, just wondering what these books are about. I've never read them.
Walid Khalid posts on 2/8/2006 4:00:30 PM I think both are the same, but Bourne Ultimatum is better in terms of vocabulary.
