I think that Robert Ludlum should have created a seires with the Janson Directive. It was a good book.

Hi. I just finished re-reading The Bourne Identity (having read the whole series previously) and on one of the last pages, Crawford says Jason might be able to identify Carlos's public image. That Carlos is "a visible figure in the government somewhere, or in the media, or international banking or society." Was Carlos' public image ever revealed? I can't recall anything from Supremacy (then again, i read that one over 18 months ago), but I can't think of anything from Ultimatum eith which I've read within the past month. Does anyone know who Carlos' public image is?

In answer to Mike's question regarding the full list and dates of Ludlum's work....just search for "Robert Ludlum Bibliography" on Google. They will list in order all his books plus those co-written or written under pseudonyms... Jonathan Ryder and Michael Shepard. Lynne

I worked for years knowing that someday you would read this message and the interests of your books have kept many a person who has never had to be in any dangerous situation partly to blame. To be truthfully honest with you I feel that the dangeros situations should be financed in areas that include prevention measures. I already know without them while doing everything myself that persons can be taken advantage of. The experience as well as the income persons are paid is enough to cause the death of any novel. My privacy has been eliminated for years and can you believe the their expecting me to donate? Telecommuncation violations have already been reported as well as White Collar Crime. Thank you for the entertainment that you have provided the United States.

I am proud to say I have read the entire bourne series by Robert Ludlum, but I do not understand why many fans of the books have to say the movies are a disgrace. It would have been virtually impossible to have put the unbelievibly long story into the short time frame for common movies. Also, the story is not likely and largely not possible in current times. The real Carlos the Jackal has long since been dead, and a 21st Century Jason Bourne could not be from the Vietnam era (as he was in the books as Delta One in Medusa) or else he would have to be at least 50 or more and that is not the case in the books. I think for what they had to work with and how long it was, the makers of the movies did a very good job of remaking the two current movies, The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy. Please write back and tell me what you think.

does anyone know if there is another Bourne book on the way? this may seem a strange question due to the fact that Robert Ludlum is dead but, for those who didn't know, he sold the deeds to his good friend Eric Van Lustbadder who released "The Bourne Legacy". so i was just wondering if there was another book on the way as i have read all of the Bourne books and i just dont want them to end.

It has been a while since I made an entry into this website. I'll finish Ludlum's "Matarese Countdown and restart and complete my own writing project.
There are other Ludlum novels that I have and not read. They will also be
dealt with.
You may remember me from my past
declaration that
"You cannot make a movie out of a Robert Ludlum novel."
The best media adaption of Robert Ludlum's work was
"The Rhineman Exchange." when it was
novelized for television. The time given to present the story offered the
best opportunity to tell the story as
it was written.
