Nancy Richardson posts on 3/14/2012 9:23:42 AM Dear Mr. Peck, My name is Nancy Richardson. I taught A Day No Pigs Would Die to my freshman English. The students and I wrote to you and you were kind enough to write back. It has been a few years ago and I have been wondering how you are doing. If you get a chance, please let me know. You were a great person to write to my students and I enjoyed speaking with you. All my best, Nancy

Debbie Georgianna posts on 7/15/2005 4:57:01 PM I'm teaching the novel, A Day No Pigs Would Die, and I'm curious why there are so many deviations from the Shaker culture that I've researched. An integral part of the religion, as I understand it, is celibacy. Yet, it's obvious that Haven & Mama Peck don't adhere to that. Also Sebring Hillman & Widow Bascom. Can this be explained?
