Dear Riva,
you are my insperation. How you kept hope and faith is unbelievable . Your book The cage helped me realize that even a hot shower or a little bit of food can be important. You are an amazing person !

Dear Mrs. Sender,
I was one of your last students to graduate from Sunday School in 2000. I just wanted to let you know that I have just graduated from Stony Brook University and I am now a Social Studies teacher. You were always extremely inspirational to me and I have always kept in mind "As long as there is life, there is hope". I hope to impart to my students the same things that you did to me. I feel extremely lucky to know you as a person and to have you as a teacher. I hope all is well with you.
Samantha

Dear Mrs.Sender,
Thank you so much for visiting my school. Your presentation brought tears to my eyes. You are the bravest person that I have ever met, not just because you survived the holocaust, but because you found strength to write about your experiences and educate the world. I am deeply grateful that you came to our school. Thank You

Dear Ruth Minsky,
I think it is amazing how you survived. How could you stay so strong when everything around you was being torn apart? Was the poetry real? I’m just wondering because you really inspired me. I never knew how someone can take so many things for granted. Like hot baths, food and drink when ever you need it, and most importantly how important a family can be. You are varry brave to me. I could never go through a surgery like that or losing the people close to you. Having a brother die. And still have hope to live. Your books are very inspiratual and at the same time sad to belive something like this actually happened.i would like to hear back from you as soon as posible so I can know from you how you got through everthing.

Dear Ms. Riva,
Our class was wondering if you have returned to Lodz or Auschwitz? We have been inspired by your book. Thank you for sharing your story. We were also wondering how you met your husband. Thank you.
