Munzia posts on 4/16/2009 6:12:28 PM I just LOVE Sarah Dessen's books. All her books really connect with the issues teenagers like myself in reality go through. And by the time I've read the last page I really feel confident and good about myself. She tells it like it is and an it's brilliant how she gives her main characters hope and strength bit by bit.She is an outstanding author.

rach posts on 4/13/2009 11:28:48 PM i just read dreamland by sarah dessen, and i also thought sara did a great job. she makes you feel a connection to the main character so well and it emotionally opened my mind as a person over all reading dreamland
Abbi Lee posts on 4/2/2009 2:23:06 PM I found The truth about forever to be AMAZING and i never used to read. Thanks to that book i try to pick up a book anytime i can. I have to say That Sarah is a great writer and she should keep writing more books for people to enjoy, and it all relates to real life. I am only thirteen so the stories are relevant to me and it is really realistic. Well done, and keep going!!!!!! :)I love your books!!!
Hannah; 16 posts on 2/4/2009 11:05:43 PM I absolutly have fallen in love with all Sarah's books that I have read so far- and the ones I am reading now! As for the question asked earlier about the quick-zip and town and these things- Sarah actually grew up in a town like the one(s) in her book(s) and she used to go to the Zip Mart to get her drinks; their was also metal sculptures she always saw when she was coming into town. She fasinates me because she writes about things that really happen- things we all go through in high school- or things we hear about in high school. Like in Lock and Key; Sarah used to live in a small yellow farm house with her husband. After she moved and went back a few years later she found the house was gone and a gated comunity was in it's place: Hence the idea of Loack and Key. I absolutly love her writing style and fall in love with all of the characters- sadly even Rogerson has a place in my heart, because of what he went through that made him cause harm to the one he loved. Sarah Dessen is my favorite author- the first book I read was Just Listen (about 2 yrs ago, age 14) and I couldn't believe how powerful and inspiring it was. And also, did anyone notice there is also a yellow farm house on a back road in Dreamland???? If you read them all, you will find small conections like this hidden- which is another reason I love her books :) <3 Someday I hope I can use my experiances mixed with my own imagination to write as inspriningly as she.... :)
Michelle posts on 1/28/2009 10:05:03 AM The first time I picked up a Sarah Dessen book was at my school library. I'm a big reader, and it sounded interesting, so I figured why not? Needless to say, I couldn't put it down. It was This Lullaby, and it was brilliant. I absolutely fell in love with the character of Dexter, although most people tend to prefer the aloof, mysterious guys (and I do too), then was something so amazing about the way Dexter was written. He was so real...like someone I'd completely want to be friends with. Goofy clumsiness and all. Then there was Remy, who was just the heroine in a novel I'd been waiting for. To the point and a skeptic. So yeah, This Lullaby's my favourite. A close second is Just Listen then The Truth About Forever. I love her books, and I can't wait to read more of them.
Veronica posts on 1/9/2009 10:45:29 PM Lock and Key was a book that truely inspired me. It has such beauty. And being a tennager myself, i feel like a relate to a few of her book characters. Maybe sarah dessen should consider making a movie from one of her books because i always wonder what her characters rally look like. Anyone agree? I love sarah Dessen :)
kat posts on 11/10/2008 8:03:29 PM i love your books they are great even though i;m not a teen they are awesome! When i was reading "Just listen" again i thought how come in almost every book you write there is a Bendo and a Quick Zip are they all in the same town? Or are these in every american town ? I live in Canada whrere we don't have these things. Great books keep writing!:)
