i agree i also think lauren london would be the best choice to play winter if there was a movie. I read this book almost a year ago and every time one of my friends asks me about a good book to read this is always my first recommendation. i cannot wait to read midnight just reading what the book was going to be about almost brought me into tears. Sister Souljah is such an inspiration to me. The Coldest Winter ever inspired me to get more serious about my writting. There are not enough words to explain how i feel just by touching my book, it's amazing but that book changed my entire life and the way i look at things.

I love the coldest winter ever i hope u come out with another 1 to explain winter sister side of the story i love that book i did not know nothing about the book until my friend deja told me about it i said let me read that book was so good i read it in 2 days i will love to see a movie about the coldest winter ever and i will love to be winter i am dramatic and a good actor and i am also good at dancing i will love to be in the movie i love that book please come out with another 1 explaining winter sister side of the story and that book really relates to the streets of New York and the stuff that goes on i love your book THE COLDEST WINTER EVER SHOULD WIN AN AWARD FOR BEST SELLING BOOK EVER.......

shamyl brown aka donnete the wire. will be good to play winter. she and idris elba did a hot kissing scene in episode 2or3 season 2 check it out

I first read it at twelve..and when i read it i made my sister, my mom and everybody else in my house read it because i loved it so much..it really spoke to me!Now at 14..im just ready 4 the sequel & the movie!I hope for Winter the movie features so one unknown!

As a high school English teacher in an urban school, this novel has become an essential literary tool for teaching my young female students about the consequences of surrendering to the temptations of this "thug" "drug" life they are drawn to. Sister Souljah's illustration of this journey of life brings everything to life makes it real to my students. The constant struggle as a teacher to get my students to JUST READ is also met. They cannot put it down students are seen reading at lunch, outside on the bench during lunch. And geting students to read today is one of the biggest challenges for teachers. Students can relate to her story because many live lives similiar to the main character. Her novel will be considered in the next generation to be among the classics of this time just as Zora Neale Hurston during the Harlem Renaissance.
