Karla posts on 12/15/2006 11:02:26 AM The girl from akeela and the bee aint too much different from New New in ATL,EXCEPT FOR AGE, BUT I DO AGREE THAT New New would be a great choice, I'm also sticking with Reagan Gomez-Preston (Zaria from the Parenthood). In response to characters fitting the discriptions,(with all do respect) Shauna, read the book a little closer, Lisa Raye would not be the correct choice discription wise, Winters Mom was dark skinned, sorry.
Shauna posts on 12/15/2006 5:40:00 AM First I want to address the book. I have never in my life read or even heard about a book like this! This book should have been a movie a long time ago seriously! My whole family has read this book and everyone was hooked from the first page. My daughter and her boyfriend first introduced me to this book because they had a school project. No exaggeration when I say my daughters entire school has read this book and done essays about it. My 15yr old twin sons are now reading it for a project they have to do for english. I know every teacher in their school is tired of this book. lol- The detail in the book was like wow you gave a vivid picture of each and every person, scene & setting. I could really go on and on about this book but it would take a minute seriously! I loved it! I have recommended it and talked about this book for the year I have known it exsited. Now the characters I don't mean to be mean and I did not read all the comments posted but those couple that suggested that Akeela and the bee be Winter obvioulsy did not read the book and pay attention to the discription of the people she does not fit the description AT ALL! New New from the movie ATL should play Winter, Tyrese is Midnite, Lisa Raye is the mom, Terrance Howard should be Santiga, Bullet should be 50 cent. Who ever is passing on this movie will regret when it blow's up. I am not a book reader by any means I took my daughter to her dentist appt. and was sitting in the car waiting for her to come out, was bored, saw she brought her book picked it up just to pass time and was hanging on every word. I love you Sister Souljah you did that! :)
Anonymous posts on 12/13/2006 11:05:11 AM I AGREE WITH LISA WHEN SHE STATED THAT THE AKEELA AND THE BEE STAR SHOULD PLAY WINTER, SHE'S PRETTY YOUNG THOUGH, SO i DONT KNOW.

deelow posts on 12/12/2006 1:42:33 PM I,d read the coldest winter ever when I was incarcerated ,and I thought the book was one of the coldest written book ever!
lisa posts on 12/12/2006 1:19:14 PM I think Tisha Cambell will be a good choice to play Winter's mom, and the little girl from Akela and the bee to play Winter, or even the oldest girls on the Bernie Mac and Damon Wayans shows
Francesca posts on 12/4/2006 2:04:58 PM "The Clodest Winter Ever" was not only so good it was inspritional also i wouldnt only recomend this novel to young woman like my self but just to anyone who can read thats older then the age of 12 just for the simple fact that winter lost it at the age of 12 and little girls now a days really do be humpin around at that age and end up havin babys but cant even take care of them selves but all in all Winter was my favorite character in this story not only because she was the main character just becasue she was so real to herself at first i thought she was a grimmie bitch but she really insnt thats just how she is!!
Kim posts on 11/11/2006 9:38:54 PM The book "The Coldest Winter Ever" was so good. It had me grasping for a day and a half. I could visualize everything and almost everyone in the story. It is an excellent book of work and I soon hope for Sister Souljia to get the sequel out and the movie. I think Morris Chesnut or even Tyrese would be a good character for Midnight, and Meghan Good would be a good candidate for Winter.
Janay posts on 11/7/2006 4:30:36 PM I really like the book i believe that every young woman should read the book because it shows how be brave an not a little wimp like these lil girls in these schools
Kyra posts on 10/19/2006 12:19:22 PM When is the Coldest Winter Ever movie coming out? And I heard that there is a part two also. Is this true?
