Vickie posts a message on 3/6/2006 3:12:38 PM Does any know the name or location of the fairgrounds at the end of smokey and the bandit.

coredump posts a message on 2/27/2006 2:27:12 PM is the first movie, smokey and the bandit. the 2nd and third movies arent that good and the tv show probably was just as bad.
coredump posts a message on 2/27/2006 2:20:31 PM lol so a pedal in the clutch position is the handbrake, huh? my 79 ta has its "hand" brake on the kick panel more toward the driver. i would actually call it an e-brake since it owuld be hard to push with your hand. same as the dimmer on my 75 firebird (on the floor). the video shows a clutch pedal but from the shifting sound, you can tell its an auto. my ta, before i bought it, had the tranny switched out along with the motor and has the small brake pedal, is missing the clutch pedal and is now auto. unfortunately. but the clutch pedal is missing since they removed it. but one day it will be standard again. but you can tell the difference between a foot e-brake and a clutch pedal. the ebrake is higher not down near the floor.
Angela Gossett posts a message on 2/27/2006 10:31:18 AM This message is for anyone that may have the TV series on tape. I have never seen the show, but had heard about it. Andrew posts a message on 2/10/2006 12:37:27 AM My wife wants the soundtrack to the movie real bad. Can anyone tell were I can get one on CD???
scottyboy posts a message on 2/4/2006 9:56:47 AM That 3rd pedal is the handbrake. If it was a manual car it wouldnt have the huge brake pedal - it would have a regular sized brake pedal and a matching sized clutch. Yes they used manual cars e.g at the start when he drops the clutch at the traffic lights in front of the snowman- but this bridge scene isnt one of them.
nathen posts a message on 1/24/2006 6:15:18 AM The commentator coredump posts a message on 4/23/2005 4:58:39 PM trans ams came with a manual transmission (as far as i know, it was the norm, but they may have had an auto upgrade). yeah, it is annoying to see the clutch pedal knowing that the car is an automatic on the movie. lmao. its one of those things that either they leave in as an easter egg for you to find or they know nothing about common sence and automotive workings. it is were the trans am have there hand brake
Ken posts a message on 1/23/2006 9:22:09 AM It is very unfortunate the the subsequent Smokey movies were not as well played or written as the first. The REAL star of this movie was FRED the dog. He gave it the glitter and pinosh that this movie deserves. That is not to say that Burt Reynolds and Jerry Reed, did not give it their all while performing for all of us. By the way, my handle during the CB craze was Buzzard, based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York.
