Jerry posts on 6/27/2005 1:28:58 PM It's been a while since I read the book and I can't remember the name of the soldier in the 82nd Airborne who single handedly kills some officers in Normandy while on a recon mission. Can anyone remind me of his name.
D*****, A True Patriot posts on 6/10/2005 4:41:53 PM Ambrose's book BAnd of Brothers kept me in awe the entire time. His wonderful and detailed descrpitions allowed to to visualize the events as I read them. Wanting to be a solider myself it is amazing to read the accomplishments of these grteat men and aspiring to be half of what they are they are truely heroes. The quotes were also brilliant. This one has been burned into my mind and there it will for ever stay. "From this day, to the ending of the world, we in it shall be remembered. We few, we band of brothers. For he who today sheds his blood with me, shall be my brother." I understand it partially because of my desire to be a solider. But I believe that with the actual exsperience I will gain the full understanding that the men of EZ Company had.
