Mr. Khan posts on 1/3/2006 12:23:32 AM I love the book, it is beautifully written in the way of fairy tale. I read Monk's second book called Mermaid Chair too. Secret Life of Bees is very different from the second book. I didn't like Mermaid Chair that much as I like Secret Life of Bees. Her writing is very charismatic and creative. I enjoy her books and Secret Life of Bees is a true meaning to enjoy life.

Ashley posts on 5/19/2005 8:02:33 PM I absolutely loved The Secret Life of Bees!! Does anyone know if Sue Monk Kidd is going to write a sequel??
beanie posts on 5/19/2005 5:43:27 PM What a beautiful book!!! So refreshing to read a gentle and unpretentious book which still has room for thought. The characters are truly inspirations in their own right. Although I have now moved on to another book I still cannot lose the spirit of this one. Lovely writing, completely without the self indulgance which seems to accompany so much fiction these days.
