Justin Chrisjohn posts on 6/6/2014 10:24:50 AM Dear Suzanne, You are an excellent author. Although I didn’t really like your book Barcode Tattoo as much as people said I would. Not that I didn’t like the idea behind the book, just that it was too short of a book for me. I read the whole novel in about 30-40 minutes. The idea behind the whole story was a thing to be remembered. I liked how you had a point to Kayla not getting the tattoo and making her go through all that she did just for one decision. This shows a life lesson, the lesson being, even though the choice may seem like a somewhat “easy” choice to make, there may be many effects to that. Some being good and in Kayla’s case being almost the worst thing that can possibly happen. Your book will be a book to remember because of how eye-opening it is to see how close we are to your plot. I just hope that people have enough common sense to not let you made up to become real life. Sincerely an 8th grade student, Justin
Ishya Kachru posts on 3/23/2014 8:17:41 PM Dear Ms.Weyn, my name is Ishya Kachru, I go to First Colony Middle school and I was assigned a project in which I had to read a dystopian fiction book of my choosing. After I have read this book I am supposed to contact you and say what I want , so I would like to say that I really enjoyed reading the "Bar Code Prophecy," but there is still one thing I can not seem to understand, how did the story's plot go from a girl being wanted because she was the daughter of the bar code tattoo creator to the world almost ending because a meteor was about to come crashing down on them causing a tsunami? I may have missed the connections between the two conflicts, but if I didn't please let me know. Thank you
suzanne posts on 2/6/2014 3:52:17 PM Thanks, Molly!! Hi K! I proposed a sequel but the publisher wouldn't go for it. I think it would be exciting though. Don't despair. It took me years to persuade them to let me write third Bar Code Book but eventually it happened. You've inspired me to try again. Thanks.

Kaileyn posts on 1/16/2014 6:10:20 PM I LOVE your book Distant Waves and have read it twice. I was wondering if there is a sequel to it, and if there isn't, if you could possibly write one. I would look forward to reading it!
Molly posts on 12/4/2013 12:16:01 PM LOVE the Barcode trilogy! Best books I have EVER read!!!!
suzanne posts on 8/7/2013 3:21:57 PM Hi. I think it's pronounced Mif-oom-be.
Candice Kelly posts on 7/26/2013 2:19:37 AM I just read The Bar Code Tattoo and LOVED it! I can't wait to continue the series! I do have a question though. How do you pronounce "Mfumbe"? I have NO clue.
suzanne posts on 7/19/2013 2:55:00 PM Hi Sheyna, Whitney, and Lacey, and all my fellow bloggers and readers. I can't believe it's already mid July. Sorry for taking so long to get back to you and thanks for your good questions. There are 2 follow up books to The Bar Code Tattoo right now. They are The Bar Code Rebellion and The Bar Code Prophecy. I've proposed a fourth but I'm waiting to hear back from Scholastic to find out I they're interested in going on. The Br Code Tattoo started as just one novel in my mind but it's since expanded. I hope it goes on forever. In Bar Code Tattoo, Nedra and Zekeal are the main antagonists, but overall, it's Global1. You've given me good idea though. I think we need some new villians who are not so faceless. Thanks.
Lacey posts on 5/28/2013 12:50:03 AM I love the bar code books! Is it supposed to be a trilogy though, or are you planning on expanding the series, not through novellas, but more full-length novels? Can't wait to read some of your other work!
Whitney Poore posts on 5/21/2013 4:47:34 PM Hey! I was wondering who the antagonist is in this book? Is it a specific person or the barcode supporters? Thanks :)
