Sorry, I'm stupid. Deleted scenes are on the DVD, but they're labeled "Outtakes." And they have the Octopus as well as the scene in the store.

There is definately a scene where the Goonies are attacked by an Octopus. However, it is cut out of all versions of the film currently in production. If you're wondering it happens have they come out of the water shoots, as they start making their way toward to pirate ship. More interesting, and less known, is the deleted scene where the kids go into a local store before heading to the restaurant. In that scene Troy pushes Chunk into an ice cream freezer and taunts the gang. I recently bought the DVD and was hoping to find these, and other, deleted scenes. Unfortunately, there are no deleted scenes available on the DVD!

yes there is a scene where Mouth gets attacked w/ hte octopus. the part where stef slaps him in the face.

HI I love the goonies. Just wanted you to know that.I know a Whole lot about the movie. yes It has the octupus scene,it is cut out and on the DVD in deleted scenes.SEcond whover posted the setting part of this is an idiot ,obviously knows nothing about the movie,and shouldn't be writing reveiws for movies they know nothing about.The setting is in astoria,oregan.The outside part anyway.The caves were in warner brother's studio, California and some scenes were shot in berbank,california.
