“toma 1,” a mun2 original series, features an exclusive and intimate interview with the recognized and respected latin actor edward james olmos. olmos who was raised in east los angeles, told the cameras of “toma 1” how proud he feels for taking an active role to empower latinos. he spoke about some of his most important roles, such as abe quintanilla in the movie “selena,” and mr. escalante in “stand and deliver,” a film that earned him an oscar nomination for his inspirational performance as a determined teacher who helps a troubled group of urban kids excel in math and science. most recently, olmos can be seen as commander william adama in the sci fi channel's miniseries remake of the late '70s tv show "battlestar galactica."
