Actually, I'm twelve too, and a fan of The Outsiders.
To the person that said that Ponyboy was a sissy with a sissy name, that's not true, at least how I see it. He was named by his father, showing that his father was a fun person and had a sense of humor, which tells the reader that Ponyboy missed his parents. As with being a sissy, I don't see why the commenter said that.

The movie was taken place in the 1960's .It is just a story of two different group of perople "Greasers" and "Socs" who don't get along, but have alot in common . They are only seperated by sides of a town . It is a movie teaching of love, passion, and friends and family . It is there to show people you never really see what you have until you loose it .

My name is Nicole and I am only 13 . Not that anyone cares . But I HATE to read . But my Reading teacher picked "The Outsiders" for us to read . I thought It was the greatest story ever! So i HAD to watch the movie . I got it 5 days ago, and watched it a toltal of 18 and a half times . o_O Patrick Swayze is cool . He is in Dirty Danceing . Incase know one knows . Ralph Macchio ROCKS MY SOCKS! He is in the movie "The Karatee Kid" He is an awsome actor . Did you know he was only 20 when the filmed the movie? He looked younger to me O_o Matt Dillon is a doll . I think he is mega HOT! ;) Just like Ralph, an C. Thomas Howell (Pony-boy), and Soda-pop . C. Thomas Howell is one of my NEW favorite actors . I am also one of his biggest fans . I can never stop watching their moive, no matter how much I play it, It can never get old . Good luck to the rest of your movies !

I loved this book and movie! We had a unit on the Outsiders this year in English! I'm 13 just in case you're wondering. The Outsiders rocks! This was the first time any of my English teachers picked a good book to read! LOL! Ralph Macchio is one of my favorite actors! (He's Johnny)

Hey everybody.I just wanted to say the I am one of Christopher Thomas Howells biggest fans.I loved the charicter Ponyboy because hes sencitive and gives every one second chances.Now I know thats probebly not his real feelings but boy do I have alot of things to say.I know just about his whole biagraphy and more.And who ever thinks the wrong way about him are LOOSERS and are just jellius caue of his looks.Well g2g by...for now.Oh ya Im must be one of hes yaungest fans because Im only 12.By.P.S Christopher is my fav achter in the WORLD.By again.Oh ya one more thing.I watched The OutSiders 37 times all in 1 week.By.
