The Red Shoes Message Board

Jim Stokes posts a message on 6/4/2005 12:18:41 AM This is one of my all-time favorite movies. I was a bit too young to see it when it was first shown in theaters. The movie has many things going for it. It's full of delightful ballet music. The Red Shoes music itself is the scariest music I have ever heard. A great deal of time went into staging the RS ballet. And the special effects are superb. I don't know how much drama goes on backstage in ballet. But this surely makes for a good story. Does anyone know who the heavy set man in the sweater seated in the audience was at Miss Page's "Swan Lake" performance? It appears to be a Hitchcock type scene, except the camera was right square on this man. Was it Michael Powell? No credit in the movie.
