V For Vendetta Message Board

JRW posts a message on 12/2/2006 5:41:01 AM omg i love this movie too! thats too bad i thought many others would have posted a message too. Oh well guess it's just me and you lol. V for Vendetta is probably my new favorite movie. I bought the comic book by Alan Moore and David Lloyd about seven months after i seen it in theaters. it cost 30$! it must have gotten rare after they made a production of it, because a while ago their prices were only 15$. I loved the comic too, Natalie Portman plays a good evey! i am sort of glad that they changed her though. Because in the comic (it's understandable why) she's only 16, she's trying to become a prostitude, and she's immature. she acts like a 8 year old when she cried out "mummy!daddy!" but i think thats why V helped her. At least in the movie she's more likeable, older and a better role model. LOL i was still upset that it was him that did that to her though! if he tortured me and shaved my head i would have found something sharp or heavy and hurt him with it. I'm glad they changed V too. In the Comic their more kind of Father and Daughter, and at times he's like a teacher to her. He's like that too in the movie, but he's not as obscure and twisted. In the Comic almost everything he says is a quotation from a book and he's a big time enigmatic! lol he's crazy, he actually talks to himself when he blows up Madamn Justice. I'm glad in the movie they made him more softer and that there was kind of a more gentler love sotry between them, glad it didn't go too far though it wouldn't have looked right if they were... you know. But the point of the comic and the movie were still the same i'm glad they kept it that way. I guess we too have to find a way to stand up to our own government. LOL we dont need a movie to know that our country's messed up, but it gave a good message. FREEDOM FOREVER!!!
mandy posts a message on 11/11/2006 6:15:05 PM Ok. I suppose I'm going to be the first to post a single stitch of appreciation for this film on the page. Quite frankly, since no one has posted I doubt anyone will read what I have to say but none the less I feel I should say it, because for anyone whose ever seen V for Vendetta words will always retain their power. It's the first movie I've seen in a very long time that holds my interest. Probably because V is one of the most intricate and although violent, rather endeering character I've seen take the big screen in years. And I have to say that the fact of that statement alone is rather disappointing considering the fact that other comic characters could have taken the stage with enough zeal to equal V's. Of yet hollywood has failed to do so. But then V for Vendetta is undoubtedly my favorite film of all time. To put emphasis on the point on how lovable I really found V I can't stand to watch the actor who portrayed him die, so now whenever I watch the Matrix I really hate Neo. Ok that's all I'm going to imbarrass myself by saying.
