tamsin posts on 8/28/2010 8:49:11 PM I would like to inform you all that Nadia is now back in Birmingham, living with her husband there. I got in touch with Jana on facebook (you can add her on FB and she puts up a post about Nadia) and she confirmed she is back and safe in birmingham alhamdulillah.
Asia Al-Saidi posts on 8/10/2010 12:23:41 PM Dear Zana I have just read both your books and each 1 took me just 24 hours, as I could not put them down once I had started. Just to let you know my heart goes out to you and there are lots pf people who cannot even begin to understand what you went through. Anyone, without too much rambling, I too am from Birmingham (Goldenhillock Rd, Small Heath) but got married and moved to Liverpool. I moved to Yemen in 2001 and have lived there since, coming back to UK for very brief holidays only. Fortunately for me, I am independent in Yemen, I have my own car and I travel around the country (with my son who's 22) quite freely. As long as you have a mahram in Yemen, you are allowed to do virtually anything you want. Which brings me to my point: Since I have my mahram and I travel freely in Yemen and with all the network of Taiz friends I have (my neighbours are from Mokbana) I have thought that I could visit Nadia perhaps? Then give you feedback from a completely non-biased person (if she would meet me, that is!) Please don't be offended by my suggestion. I wouldn't have suggested it if you hadn't have shot, like an arrow, into the depths of my heart!!! My heart is with you Zana. Asia.
Netherlands posts on 8/2/2010 7:58:26 PM I've read both books and while reading it, my heart broke.... It's an unbelieveble story, so sad, so cruel! I admire both Zana and Nadia and also her mother. It must be awfull to leave your kid in a country like that, so little and ill. Pages on internet are telling Nadia is back with her husband and kids in England, but some of them are also telling they are still in Yemen. I hope with all my heart they are safely in England! It's gross how the world can't do anything about this! I can't believe that! My prayers will go out to the family and all the other poor women and kids who are living over there in such horrible conditions!

Eleanor Webber posts on 7/30/2010 4:00:06 PM Marriam, My heart goes out to you. It is obivious that you do not comprend freedom, so you can not understand what all the "fuss" is about. Being modern and being forced to marry at the age of 14, forced to have children in the most barbicia of conditions, beaten, and half starved is not about Allah, or God, or any religion. It is man's injustice, not God's "Justice". I wish I could help you. Eleanor Rose
andrea watson posts on 5/27/2010 8:07:52 AM Nadia returned to the U.K. in 2004 and lives in Birmingham with her husband and children. She does not want any publicity and has asked for family not to publicise this. Hope this has answered your question. Andrea
Marcus Muhsen posts on 5/22/2010 8:44:06 PM my name is marcus i will be writing my story soon which will answer many questions. thank you
Con posts on 4/27/2010 5:15:40 PM I emailed Andrew Crofts who co-wrote Zana's books about the latest situation and he has replied that Nadia is safely back in the UK with her children. He also said that Zana's son came looking for her when he was 18 just as she thought he would. So, a happy ending it seems!
vicky posts on 4/24/2010 11:15:54 AM Stop all he speculation. Let the girls come forward and will be proof that they are in England. The least they could do is let the public know they really exist after the support they have been shown. Respect their privacy too.
