Zana Muhsen Message Board

Linda posts on 4/12/2009 7:32:27 AM Zana and family. I'm from Australia and have just finished reading SOLD & PROMISE TO NADIA and I am so saddened and shocked to realise this is still going on. In a country of equity and equal rights for women it is unacceptable that Nadia has not been rescued and given the chance to live a normal life of raising her children, popping to the shops, laughing with family, swimming and all the other things we do day-to-day and take for granted. Zana, I know you will never give up and I want you to know that my thoughts and the thoughts of my family are with you and yours.

Line posts on 3/27/2009 11:14:14 AM Hi Zana, my name's eline and I'm fifteen years old. I live in Belgium and I've just read your two books. I just want to say that I was shocked. I've already read the first book, but I was 10 years then, so I didn't realise how bad it is. When I read your books again, I feld so angry...I got the feeling that I just had to hire a helicopter and fly to Yemen, to get Nadia. That's also my question...Is Nadia still in Yemen? I wish you lots of strength and hope Nadia gets free...

Did she come back to england or not? What about your own son? if you are still not united with your sister my prayers are with you all.
lola posts on 3/5/2009 5:56:52 PM Hey guys if you are a member of facebook you can join a group on there named Nadia Muhsen there's still hope, Jana Wain is in the group (who co wrote the book "without mercy" with miriam, Nadias mum) she wants people to add her so you can read the statement on her page!!! about what has happened x
georgia posts on 2/21/2009 9:31:20 AM I sincerely hope what u say is true. But I have my reservations whether the story was excessive too much. It is universally known that women in Yemen are repressed and they will be subjugated to their husband. I think I have many many questions yet, , but we will never know the exact truth. Obviously Miriam and Zana or at the request of Nadia, either by pressure of Yemen, or because it is quite egoistries to admit that to some extent dealt with the facts wrong way, ceased to publish and to fight. I just want to hope that everyone now living well and solved their differences. Even Muthana hope for the best, because ignoring the real motives which led him to do as he did.
