This is a wonderful rendition of the fight for American independence from England. Not completely historically accurate, but the truths outweigh the fudged facts.

The Drafting of the Declaration of Independence. Perfect casting. William Daniels was simply great as John Adams. Howard Da Silva (as Ben Franklin) works perfectly with Daniels. Ken Howard gives a very thoughtful portrayal of Thomas Jefferson.

This movie, although not always historically correct, is about the continential congress's fight for freedom in 1776. It is a play turned movied about American society trying to become a society all her own.
