Detailed plot synopsis reviews of 50 First Dates

Harry Roth is a vet working in Hawaii trying to save money to tour the waters around Alaska and study walrus. Every night he goes to the local bars to pick up with whomever he will spend the night. No emotions or strings attached, it is what he does. His passions are for his work. One morning he meets Lucy at a local resturant and is drawn to her.Lucy used to be an art teacher at a local Junior High school. Her father is a local fisherman and her mother is deceased. Harry discovers that Lucy has no short term memory, the result of an auto accident. Each day she awakens thinking that it is her father's birthday and a Sunday and goes about the same routine. Her father and brother spend each evening making everything as it was the morning of that fateful day that she lost her memory. Harry falls in love with Lucy and spends each day making her fall in love with him over and over. He makes a video for her to view each morning to expedite the process only to find that she is making a journal so she can brush up on what she has forgotten. She decides that she can no longer stand in the way of Harry and her family living their lives and moves to an institution that cares for those like her. What Harry does to win her back and how he continues to make her fall in love each day makes this a wonderful movie. This movie also stars Rob Schneider and Sean Austin in great comic roles.

Arctic marine life veterinarian Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) tends to the sea animals at Sea Life Park in Hawaii, and breaks the hearts of mainland tourists in search of a vacation romance. A long-term relationship for Henry is out of the question. It would scuttle his 10-year dream of sailing to Alaska to study the underwater life of walruses.

Henry is close to making his dream come true when his schooner, the Sea Serpent, suffers a mishap during a trial run, which lands him at the Hukilau Cafe where he saw the beautiful young Lucy Whitmore (Drew Barrymore). Henry is immediately attracted to Lucy, and after a first chat with her about waffles and sea mammals, Henry finds himself more and more interested in Lucy. Ignoring his own rule about dating local girls, he makes a date to meet her for breakfast the next day. But when he arrives and makes a reference to their previous conversation, she thinks he's some kind of freak and calls for help. Lucy has no idea who he is. It seems to Lucy they never even met. Later on, Henry realizes that if he wants to win her affections, he's going to have to start over again.
