They finally arrive to Montana and are at once attacked by Ironshirt and his Blackfeet warriors who steal their horses. Thanks to the intervention of Kamia who's the granddaughter of Bear Ghost, the Blackfeet's leader, Ironshirt must return the horses stolen to Flint. But as Bear Ghost is killed a few weeks later, Ironshirt becomes the new chief of the Blackfeet and attacks Flint and his trappers at once.
