Two half-wits set out to explore America and reach the Pacific Ocean before rivals Lewis and Clark. Along the way they endure many mishaps. They get stranded in the mountains, they float over a waterfall in canoes, one of the men gets attacked by a bear and they must fight for their lives against a small group of spanish soldiers. In the end, they finally reach the ocean at the same time as Lewis and Clark, but are able to plant their flag first. They walk off into the sunset as heroes, planning their next elaborate adventures.
