Jennifer is at first doubtful of Frankie's explanations but, after a few attempts made by the Malatestas to kill her, she starts to have confidence in her new bodyguard. She's also soon convinced that the only way to avenge Angelo and to stop the vendetta against her is to kill the old Malatesta. Frankie is also in love with her.
