Chris Noth stars as Mike, an undercover FBI agent trying to infiltrate the mob. He falls in love with his informant's sister, Lorraine (Ruehl), and finds himself pursued by the vicious Tommy Bells (Patrick), a mafia hitman also in love with Lorraine. Bells also has a fondness for disposing of bodies with a chainsaw. It's up to Mike's partner, Agent Gibbons (Meaney) to try and figure out who betrayed them and find a way to rescue Mike.
