Written and directed by Spike Lee in 1999. As the ratings of his employer CBN are extremely low, TV show producer Pierre Delacroix is asked to think about a new show by Thomas Dunwitty, vice-director at CBN. Pierre, who would like to be fired after years of frustration at CBN, imagines "Mantan: The New Millennium Minstrel Show", a concept that should, at least under Pierre's opinion, never be accepted by CBN's hierarchy. The show, which features every possible stereotypes about Afro-Americans, takes place in a watermelon field in Alabama and the black actors of the show are wearing blackface as in the thirties.
