Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Barnyard: The Original Party Animals

This film is the story of a male cow named Otis (Kevin James), who is the main protagonist of the movie. Otis's father Ben is the head cow who runs the farm. This character is played by Sam Elliot. Every night after the farmers call it a night and turn off the lights the lookout sheep shouts "Clear!" and all of the barnyard animals spring up on two legs, walk, talk, watch TV, play practical jokes and do what ever normal people do. Each morning, Ben leads a meeting to take care of farm business. All the animals follow Ben's orders and protect their farm from the evil coyotes that greed after the farm. It's a position that Ben takes seriously and he wants to pass this duty on to his son Otis.

Otis's life is led by his father just as everything else on the farm but Otis does not mind, at least not until he sees Daisy, a pretty young cow played by Courtney Cox. Much to Ben's disappointment, Otis finds himself torn between the duty that his father wants him to take upon and the girl who he can not live without.
When Ben is no longer able to lead, Otis tries to keep order at the farm but the role of leader does not come as naturally for him. Without Ben to keep everyone in line, chaos occurs and it isn't long before the farmer begins to get suspicious and the devious coyotes begin to think that the farm could be theirs for the taking.
