This comedy is a simple minded, fun, and enjoyable time for lots of different types of people! It's the story of a rich man's son who, until now, did nothing but hang out w/ his alcoholic friends, get sunburned lounging by the pool, and stare at nudie magazines all day! After hearing that his hotel chain-owning father was going to give away the family business to Billy's rival (Eric), Billy decides to step up and try to win back his father's company by going back to school and proving he's more than he seems to be! It's a fun movie to watch and it's very memorable!

Billy Madison is the son of a multi-millionare hotel chain owner who spends his days getting drunk and lounging by the pool. When Billy's father announces that Eric (Billy's rival) will take over the family business instead of him, Billy becomes angry and his father reveals that he had paid his way through school. In a fight to gain the family company and his father's respect, Billy goes back to school where he encounters hilarious students and teachers.

The plot in this movie's actually pretty simple - Billy is to inherit his father's Fortune 500 company, but first has to re-do grades 1-12 on his own, because originally his father bribed all his teachers to pass him (he's not very intelligent). Billy eventually woos his new third grade teacher and becomes involved with her. Billy overcomes Bryan, his father's greedy right hand man who will get the company if Billy fails. He graduates and then inherits the company; however, he gives it to a more deserving party.

Spoiled, lazy 20-something Billy Madison is told that he is too irresponsible to take over his father's hotel chain when he retires, and the company will go to power-hungry little weasel Eric. However, Billy reaches a compromise. Billy must go to school again, first-12th grades, and complete each one in two weeks. If he does this, he gets the company. But it's not as easy as he first thought...

Cory on 4/22/2014 6:17:38 AM says: I really enjoyed this movie. It had a lot to offer. My favorite part of the movie is that it really shows that no matter what point you are in your life its never to late to go back and try to fix things or change things. Billy proves you can reach any goal if you try hard enough. It may be quite silly that at his age he repeats all of school but i really do believe it is a great way to teach young teens now that school is a great thing and you really need it for getting through life.
