This comedy is a simple minded, fun, and enjoyable time for lots of different types of people! It's the story of a rich man's son who, until now, did nothing but hang out w/ his alcoholic friends, get sunburned lounging by the pool, and stare at nudie magazines all day! After hearing that his hotel chain-owning father was going to give away the family business to Billy's rival (Eric), Billy decides to step up and try to win back his father's company by going back to school and proving he's more than he seems to be! It's a fun movie to watch and it's very memorable!

The plot in this movie's actually pretty simple - Billy is to inherit his father's Fortune 500 company, but first has to re-do grades 1-12 on his own, because originally his father bribed all his teachers to pass him (he's not very intelligent). Billy eventually woos his new third grade teacher and becomes involved with her. Billy overcomes Bryan, his father's greedy right hand man who will get the company if Billy fails. He graduates and then inherits the company; however, he gives it to a more deserving party.

Spoiled, lazy 20-something Billy Madison is told that he is too irresponsible to take over his father's hotel chain when he retires, and the company will go to power-hungry little weasel Eric. However, Billy reaches a compromise. Billy must go to school again, first-12th grades, and complete each one in two weeks. If he does this, he gets the company. But it's not as easy as he first thought...
