Lots of things have changed since Elwood Blues spent 18 years in jail. Joliet Jake is dead, so Elwood decides to recruit new members of his blues group. Many great musicians from the past and present, like Aretha Franklin, BB King and Erykah Badu make brilliant appearances in the movie and Dan Aykroyd and John Goodman (Mac) show their singing abilities, too! Even a policeman becomes a member of the group as well. Note: The soundtrack album is executive-produced by Paul Shaffer (here, he has a role as the leader of the Blues Brothers Band), the noted bandleader for David Letterman's show.
