The case is handled by inspectors Hagen (Driscoll) and Kobacek (Biehn) who's been Lila Colleti's boyfriend for some time now. While Lila Colleti is sure that the murderer is Ed Baikman (Flanery) who was one of her patients at the prison, the detectives find evidences incriminating her. Soon, an insane Baikman declares his love to Colleti and starts to harass her and the children and nobody can prove his culpability. On the contrary, Lila Colleti is arrested and charged with the murder of her ex-husband. Baikman comes to visit her at the prison and tells her that he has found a new psychiatrist whom he's fallen in love with. From now on, he will stop harrassing the jailed doctor.
