Linda Blair plays Chris, a troubled teenage runaway who is abused by her parents. She's forced to go to a home for girls. She is also abused here--in one scene the girls rape her in the shower. Chris eventually toughens up and adjusts to life here. In the end, despite a caring guidance counselor giving Chris the opportunity to leave, Chris decides that this is her home, whether she likes it or not.
