Sophie Renoir lives with Fabien and worries about her friend Blanche who hasn't got a boyfriend. At the swimming poll, both girls meet Alexandre, an engineer who's admired by all the local girls.
Blanche falls in love with Alexandre and loses all self-confidence when she's got the opportunity to speak with him. During Sophie Renoir's holiday, she confides in Fabien and spends agreeable moments with her friend's boyfriend without noticing that both get along very well.
When Sophie Renoir comes back, she tries to help Blanche to seduce Alexandre but the young man is in fact totally uninterested in Blanche and prefers to court Sophie Renoir.
