A few months and a few affairs later for both of them, Steve comes unannounced at Monica's place and asks her to marry him. She accepts and the couple moves in in a new appartment. On the day of the marriage, Steve blanks out before saying yes to Monica. It's too much for the young woman who decides to leave Steve definitively. For weeks, Steve will call her several times a day but Monica refuses to speak to him.
