Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason Movie Review Summary

Actors: Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth, Hugh Grant

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason

Renee Zelleweger is back as the insecure, British journalist, Bridget Jones, in this mundane sequel that picks up four weeks after the first film ended. Although, this time around, Bridget is already in a relationship with uptight attorney, Mark Darcy (Firth), she is still shuttling between him and womanizing, former fling Daniel Cleaver (Grant) while compulsively making a complete fool of herself during every task she attempts. After Jones breaks up with Darcy because of her petty jealousy, the plot ships her off to cover a news story at an exotic location along with Cleaver, where on her return home, she gets arrested for smuggling drugs that she has no knowledge of. Jones gets thrown into a Thai prison for women and must be rescued by the perturbed but still caring Darcy.
