Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Brief Encounter

In this simple yet powerful romance, a housewife, Laura Jesson, meets a married doctor at the train station. Seeing him once a week at the same time, they slowly realize they love one another and consider cheating on their spouses. Being respectable people, however, they recognize the incredible guilt surrounding the idea of adultry and continue to deny their impulses. The background score, the Second Piano Concerto by Rachmaninoff, is an important and beautiful addition to this story of forbidden love.
