It's Paris and where could be more romantic? And what more romantic couple would one expect than Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn! In “Charade,” Stanley Donen's colorful,
suspenseful movie about secret identities, murder, and other mayhem captivates the audience, even by today's standards! Audrey Hepburn finds herself with a dead
husband--and just as she is prepared to move on with her life, she discovers that he is a man of many passports and with backgrounds she knows nothing about. It is a story of a “lost” quarter of a million dollars that a crew of American soldiers had “spirited” away during World War II---and now everyone wants to know where it is! Clever, original,“Charade” is more than just a movie about a game; it is mesmerizing in its entirety. Donen's fast paced direction, Henry Mancini's matching music, and
photogrpahy-on-location make this a favorite film. Even the special credits before the movie opens is a thrill.
