Mandy Moore plays Anna, the teenage daughter of the president of the United States. She hates that her social life is ruined by the bodyguards her parents insist accompany her everywhere. Before the first family goes on a trip to Europe, Anna makes her dad promise that he'll give her one night where there are only two bodyguards following her around and where she'll have greater freedom to hang out as a normal teen.

In Europe, Anna behaves like the model daughter and, while the family is in Prague, she gets her night of greater liberty. Or so it seems. In actually, her parents have sent the same amount of bodyguards along, only better disguised. Anna is infuriated and tries to evade them. That's when she runs into Ben, whom she thinks is a young photographer but who is actually a secret service agent. Now the president asks Ben to remain with Anna constantly and look after her as she follows her youthful inclinations to get really drunk, go skinny dipping, and travel to Italy.
