Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Chasing Sleep

CHASING SLEEP was written and directed by Michael Walker in 2000.

The whole action of the film takes place in Ed Saxon's house. Ed's wife hasn't come home tonight. Det. Derm is in charge of the case and tries at first to play down the importance of the case. Ed doesn't manage to sleep anymore and eats a lot of sleeping pills while Sadie, one of his students, would like to comfort him. He is also aggressed by Geoffrey Costas, his wife's lover, who thinks that Ed is responsible for her disappearance. Now Det. Derm has asked a psychiatrist to see Ed and help him bearing these painful moments. But, little by little, one understands that Ed could be the one who got rid of his wife. Soon, Ed suffers from hallucinations due to the lack of sleep and the guilt he feels.
