Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Chuck and Buck

Until the age of 11, Chuck and Buck were best friends in a Midwestern town. Now it is 16 years later and Chuck is a successful LA music producer and engaged to be married. When his mother dies, he invites Buck to the funeral, and Buck -- a socially and emotionally retarded obsessive/compulsive kid at 27 -- decides to move out to LA so they can go back to being best friends. When Chuck won't respond, Buck stalks him, and writes a play and gets a storefront theater to produce it, as part of his strategy to win Chuck back. This weird, kinky love story was one of the more unsettling but effective films of 2000.
