Antoine is 32 years old, single and a would-be comedian. He makes the acquaintance of Clara in the subway and, after a few weeks, both are pretty sure that their love story will last for life. Unfortunately, Clara learns after a check-up, that she's got AIDS. The immature Antoine reacts selfishly and the young woman prefers to leave him. During the next months, Antoine will try to forget her but can't.
