Chuck Norris plays Eddie Cusack, a sergeant on the Chicago police force. He's a bit of a maverick and likes to do things his own way. He and his partner, played by Dennis Farino, are staking out a building to bust some drug runners. A rival gang busts in and the two gangs have a shoot out. Eddie's partner is shot in the melee. Eddie is determined to bring both gangs down. He gets a new partner to "babysit" in hopes that he'll keep his head. The new partner has a subplot of his own to deal with in which he saw a dirty cop plant a weapon on a guy he shot in cold blood. In the meantime, the Eddie and his new partner visit various known associates of the two gangs, including the gang leader's daughter, who knows what he is, but dissociates herself from him. Henry Silva plays the typical bad guy and leader of the gang. Molly Hagan is the bad guy's daughter. The movie has the typical Chuck Norris martial arts scenes, though not as much as I had expected. The movie was shot in 1985.
